What the service is

RentSafe is a record-keeping and reminder tool for private landlords in England. It helps you track rental compliance requirements, store certificates and arrange qualified professionals to carry out checks.

What it is not

It is not a legal service and does not certify, guarantee or determine that you or a property are legally compliant. Requirements vary by property, tenancy and local authority, and you remain responsible for meeting them.

Your account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping your sign-in details secure. Each plan includes a set number of properties; adding more requires a plan with a higher limit.

Payments

Card payments are not currently enabled. Paid plans cannot be self-selected in the product yet and are applied manually.

Service requests

When you ask us to get a check sorted, we arrange an appropriately qualified professional. The professional carries out and certifies the work; RentSafe arranges and records it. Prices quoted in the product are estimates until confirmed.

Availability

The service is provided on an as-is basis while in early release. Reminders are shown in the app; outbound email reminders are not yet live.
