Draft — general information only
Privacy notice
What we store
Account details (name, email, optional company name and phone), the property records you create, tenancy and compliance information you enter, documents you upload, tasks, in-app reminders and any service requests you submit.
Why we store it
To provide the compliance tracking service you have signed up for: showing what is due, storing your certificates and, where you ask us to, arranging a qualified professional to carry out a check.
Where it is stored
Your data is held in a managed cloud database. Uploaded documents are stored in private storage and are only accessible to your account and, where required for support, our administrators. Documents are not publicly accessible.
Sharing and administrator access
We do not sell your data. Our administrators may access your account details, property records and service requests where it is needed to operate and support the service and to dispatch the jobs you ask us to arrange.
When you submit a service request, the property address, service type and your contact details may be shared with the professional we arrange, so they can carry out the work.
Retention and deletion
Records stay in your account until you delete them or close your account. To request deletion of your account and data, contact us from the Help & support page.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to certain processing. This draft notice does not yet name a data controller, DPO or supervisory authority contact — those must be completed before launch.
RentSafe is a compliance management and record-keeping tool. It does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee that a property or landlord is legally compliant.
